Bristol’s post-metal alchemists, Moon Reaper, have built their entire sonic identity around that exact second of terrifying awe. Now, they announce their return with a new single, »Dirge Of The Moons«, and if the early details are anything to go by, we are not merely listeners; we are passengers on a one-way trip into an event horizon.

Moon Reaper erupt from Bristol with a uniquely feral fusion of black metal, hardcore, death metal and doom – an unholy alloy that shouldn’t coexist, yet they forge it into something vast and cosmic. Writing almost exclusively about deep-space horrors, the band channels the malevolence of black holes, pulsars, and incomprehensible celestial entities into their sound: violent, suffocating, and astronomically heavy. After winning Bristol’s Metal 2 the Masses, Moon Reaper stormed Bloodstock 2023 on the New Blood Stage and returned in 2024 by invitation to level the Sophie Lancaster Stage. Their October 2025 Nightmare Eclipse Tour with 1986 expanded their destruction across the UK, following the release of their latest single »Overlord«.
