The Fierce & The Dead return with »The 1234«, the lead single from their forthcoming fifth album »Regional Theatre«, released via their own label Spencer Park Music.
The band’s second album to feature vocals, »Regional Theatre« sees the group pushing further into alternative and noise rock territory while retaining the experimental edge that has defined their career. »The 1234« combines the intensity of Faith No More, Sonic Youth, The Smashing Pumpkins, At The Drive-In, Mudhoney and Helmet with post-rock dynamics, psychedelia and big riffs.

Lyrically, the track explores the relationship between performers and audiences, and the powerful connection created by live music. »The 1234« marks a heavier, more direct step forward for the band, more like their live performances, while expanding on the melodic and vocal-driven approach introduced on recent releases.
Originally formed in London as an instrumental project, The Fierce & The Dead have gradually evolved into one of the UK underground’s most distinctive bands, earning praise for their mix of heavy riffs, experimental textures and ambitious songwriting. The band have built a loyal following through extensive touring in the UK, Europe and USA and acclaimed independent releases and support from publications including album of the year placings in Classic Rock and Prog Magazine.
