Brno, Czech Republic based atmospheric death/doom/black metal act Cales led by Petr “Blackosh” Hošek (Nifelheim, ex-Master’s Hammer, ex-Root) has just released new studio album »Unexplored Territories« on August 16th, 2026 via Monster Nation Records.

Cales is a melodic doom, pagan, and folk metal band from Brno, Czechia, founded in 1992 by Petr “Blackosh” Hošek, who is also known for his work with Root, Master’s Hammer and Nifelheim.

Cales blends heavy doom metal foundations with acoustic folk elements, pagan atmospheres, and epic melodies. Blackosh drives the project as a primary mastermind, collaborating with various metal musicians over the decades.
