California, Maryland based melodic death/doom metal solo project Post Luctum has been busy this year releasing second full-length album »The Indifference Of Time: I« (May 5th, 2023) and three-track »Covers« EP (July 14th, 2023) with covers of Paradise Lost, The Cure and The Sisters Of Mercy.

Post Luctum is the moniker behind artist and songwriter Ian Goetchius, a musician with a focus on creating dark and haunting doom and death metal-inspired songs.
This album is the first of a trilogy. »The Indifference Of Time: I« is mostly rooted in doom/death metal and covers the beginning of the end for the protagonist with which the story will follow. Dealing with losing the one you love most is so extremely life altering (and life ending in some cases). Its even harder when you are watching it slowly happen over the coarse of days and struggling with denial, regret, and questioning selfishness verses selflessness while facing it.
This version is an extended version only on Bandcamp with a reworked and updated version of »A Looming Shadow« (will show as the 4th track) and alternate artwork.
All music written, recorded, mixed, and mastered by Ian Goetchius.

“Cover songs are a very interesting thing for me. Even if its an artist that I don’t particularly care for covers something I’m familiar with… I feel compelled to listen to see how they place their fingerprint on it. These three songs are some tracks I’ve always wanted to tinker with, or at the very least just record for myself. Sometimes working on cover songs helps get my creativity flowing, and also, I just love these songs and artists. I hope you enjoy something on here, and hopefully I didn’t completely butcher a favorite of yours on here.”

Post Luctum is a melodic death/doom metal project that’s known for its moody melodies, dark atmosphere, and strong vocal convictions. Post Luctum was created in early 2019 and comes from California, Maryland in the United States. The project currently consists of solo creator and song writer Ian Goetchius and as of October 2019, released the debut EP »After Mourning«. The lyrical themes and topics range from isolation and depression, to the paranormal and afterlife. Next the debut album titled »Acceptance« was released August 26th, 2021 and featured the singles »Our Monuments« and »Frozen Hearts«. Shortly after the release of »Acceptance«, the second EP »The Night Will Carry On« which was released on January 21st 2022. The newest album »The Indifference Of Time: I« is part of a trilogy of albums and is tonally death/doom and about dealing with loss and questioning the difference in selfishness and selflessness.
