The Space Huns is a stoner blues trio from Szeged, Hungary, known for their cosmic, jam-driven sound that fuses heavy riffs, spacey textures, and bluesy grooves. Active for several years with multiple releases, they often emphasize improvisation and instrumental psychedelia.
In October 2025, they released their latest album »Cosmic Mountain Rush«, featuring both vocal and instrumental compositions that showcase their expansive, otherworldly style.
The Space Huns consists of Csaba Szőke (guitar, vocals), Tamás Tikvicki (bass) and Róbert Torma (drums).
Can you please say a few words about your band?
The Space Huns is a stoner jam band with psychedelic vibes and 7 improvisative sessions/albums already published.
What was the biggest challenge for the band?
The biggest challange is usually getting together, nowadays it’s rather a studio project than a fully active “everday” band.
What can you be most proud of so far?
We are really proud of our first vinyl which had been dropped on 6th Febr at Echodelick Records!
What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
The biggest surprise is how many people dig our music, we couldn’t have imagined that there are so many people out there who likes these vibes and this kind of music as much as we do.
What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Nowadays I turned back to some Pink Floyd and also some 60s blues rock like Canned Heat, The Black Cat Bones or Creedence Clearwater Revival. Also there is some Sleep, OM and 1000mods on the list. 🙂
What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
To use Big Muff rather as a boost than a distortion pedal for my tube amp. 😀
What are your guilty pleasures?
I’m really into hiphop and reggae/dub culture. 😀
Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
We are planning to go on a mini tour, but as I said it is really difficult to pull ourselves together as our drummer lives in Vienna whereas we live in Szeged (medium sized city in Southern Hungary).
What are your plans for the future as a band?
We’d like to make a lot of noise, feel good, have a lot of great moments together.
How can people best support your band?
I think the best way is to check out our stuff on any streaming service or Bandcamp, and give a thumbs up if you like it.
