Fuzz Forward is a stoner/grunge/alternative rock trio from Barcelona, Spain.

The band’s sophomore full-length album »Parasites« was released on January 26th, 2024 via Discos Macarras Records, Glory Or Death Records, Violence In The Veins, Hombre Montaña and Demons Records.

Six years have passed since their debut »Out Of Nowhere«. During this time the band has performed countless concerts and even released a surprising acoustic EP »Revolve«, which revealed an inclination towards an evolutionary sound, thus distancing itself from the characteristic corset of stoner rock, the style with which they were labeled in their debut. Needless to say, there is an evident transgression in the sound of those from Barcelona.

The band has matured through several line-up changes and is currently a trio: Marc Rockenberg (vocals, guitar), José Emilio Giménez Mendía (bass) and Pep Carabante (drums).

They continue betting on their particular mix of grunge and stoner rock, although this time adding some new ingredients to the recipe and the result is a greater presence of the melody, thus achieving a much richer and dynamic album, which can be seen in cuts like the unexpected »You Never Learn« or »S.O.S.«. »Parasites« is a reflection of the band’s evolution and a firm punch to the table. A punch that hits the popular stoner standard.

Can you say a few words about your band?
Fuzz Forward is a grunge/stoner band that has been going on since 2017. We have two albums, 1 EP and we love to rock!

What was the biggest challenge for the band last year?
It was finding the right label to release our second album »Parasites«. Mission accomplished.

What can you be most proud of so far?
»Parasites« is our biggest achievement so far. A kick ass album with great songs, a killer sound and an amazing cover. I’m very proud of it.

What was your biggest regret?
No regrets.

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
There’s been a few but playing with Sasquatch to a packed venue in Barcelona was probably the hottest and best one so far

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
Långfinger‘s new album »Pendulum«. Can’t stop playing it.

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Ryan Adams: »Star Sign«, Soundgarden: »Down On The Upside«, Långfinger: »Pendulum«, Failure: »Magnified«, Herbie Hancock: »Inventions & Dimensions«…

Can you say something more about the music scene in Barcelona?
Lots of bands, same old riffs, small audience. I think the scene could really use a bit more of creativity…

Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
You can see us in Barcelona May 3rd with Black Rainbows and in Madrid May 4th with Truckfighters.

What are your plans for the future as a band?
Make as much shows as possible and hopefully connecting with the audience and having a great time while doing so. Also really looking forward to recording some new songs soon.

How can people best support your band?
By attending our shows and buying merch or buying merch on Bandcamp.

Do you have any message for your listeners?
Thanks for listening to our music. It means the world to us. THANKS!
