Italian occult heavy rockers The Ossuary return with their long-awaited fourth album, »Requiem For The Sun«, set for release on May 23rd, 2025 via Supreme Chaos Records. The band delivers eight brand-new tracks infused with doomy and psychedelic heavy metal, deeply rooted in 70s rock and the darker side of NWOBHM.

Expanding their signature downer rock into more spectral and oneiric territories, »Requiem For The Sun« dives into introspective occult themes while maintaining the raw and unfiltered essence that sets The Ossuary apart. From the ominous opening of »Sacrifice« to the climactic explosion of »Eloise«, the album unfolds like a cinematic soundscape, drenched in thunderous riffs, haunting melodies, and ethereal vocals. Turn the volume up to 11 and immerse yourself in the ritualistic finale of »Requiem For The Sun«!

The Ossuary are Stefano “Stiv” Fiore (vocals), Alex Nespoli (guitar, synth) and Max Marzocca (drums, synth).

Can you say a few words about your band?
The Ossuary is an occult heavy metal band founded in late 2014 in South of Italy, we play dark, doomy and psychedelic rock.

What was the biggest challenge for the band?
Surviving a dramatic line up change in 2021 after 7 years together, the singer and I had to reform the band from the scratch and these days it’s quite a challenging thing to do. It’s becoming really hard to find good, motivated and reliable people in our area, all the best musicians are already taken…

What can you be most proud of so far?
We are still very proud of all the music we wrote so far.

What was your biggest regret?
We don’t have any regrets by now, we always do what is possible, giving our best…or maybe I just have to say that we have goals yet to be achieved.

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
Opening for Coven, The Obsessed and Marky Ramone Band were our highlights for obvious reasons, and last year’s European tour was cool, we played killer shows and we did very good at merch

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
Type O Negative was the last thing that really surprised me in the music scene, if it’s that what you mean…I am actually not sure I understood the question, ahahah…

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Blue Öyster Cult – »Fire Of Unknown Origin« and Scorpions – »In Trance«, they are spinning literally everyday on my turntable since weeks, I own almost 600 LPs but I really can’t help blasting those two records in this moment of my life…

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Never feel fullfilled, try to learn as much as you can, expecially from better musicians than you, make their tricks yours but preserve you identity anyway, if people recognize that you are playing you have definitely won! Also be humble and professional, if you’re the cool guy you will always get the gig. I learned these things being in the music business for decades and they pay off!

What are your guilty pleasures?
I’d say Dokken and Def Leppard? Mhmm, first Ghost is great too!

Can you say something more about current music scene in Bari / Apulia?
I ain’t got that much to say, there is a bunch of good bands and gigs, our city scene is still alive but it’s always been very underground.

Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
We have a bunch of shows in Italy by the end of May, also currently booking more gigs after summer, keep an eye on our page!

What are your plans for the future as a band?
Writing more music, release more videos, touring, chilling, smoking weed, drinking beer…

How can people best support your band?
Buy more records and t-shirts, we have the new album »Requiem For The Sun« out on May 23rd, come see us at gigs!

Do you have any message for your listeners?
This is in general for all music fans: it’s full of very good bands out there, you only have to search for them, give those who are really worth a chance and support them!
