Bruit Parasite is a four-piece stoner/doom metal band from Dijon, France.

A slow-moving force from the underground – a stoner doom entity born in shadows and feedbacks. Between collapse and trance, they summon something ancient – raw, distorted, and strangely alive. No gimmicks. No light. Just the weight of sound.

Bruit Parasite’s debut album »A Hundred Times« was just released independently on March 29th, 2025.

Can you say a few words about your band?
We are a stoner doom band from Dijon (France) since five years. The band is composed by:
• Jej – Drums
• Clotilde – Vocals and Bass
• Val – Vocals and Guitar

And recently a new mate, Pancho, joined us as a second guitar for more heavy riffs. His arrival enriches the band’s diverse influences.

What was the biggest challenge for the band?
Our biggest challenge for now was to find our sound and identity without recopy the bands we like.

What can you be most proud of so far?
We are very proud of the release of our album »A Hundred Times«, and by this way, working with talented people like Evil House Recordings (recording/mix), Esben Willems (mastering) and our friend “Les Cendres de Jeanne” who made the album cover, a video for each track of the album (we release one of it every month on our Youube Channel) and a videoclip that will be released very soon.

What was your biggest regret?
We regret being in a country where the doom/stoner scene is a little scene, compared to our neighbors like Germany or UK. It’s hard to find gig’s as a little band.

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
Our best concert for now is the release party of the album, at the Diviowl Bousille Club, because it was the first time we played synchronized with the minifilms made by our friend “Les Cendres de Jeanne”.

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
The last big surprise on the music scene was the coming of Conan in our town, Dijon. They played at “les Tanneries”, a concert club where Maloka (friend’s association) make concerts for many years. It was a great gig, heavy as fuck and a good motivation to make doom music.

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
We listen to Monolord, Conan, The Devil’s Blood, Windhand, Sleep, Black Sabbath and many more….

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Stay natural, and put more fuzz, always.

What are your guilty pleasures?
Beer, weed (obviously), Lana Del Rey and oppossums.

Can you say something more about the current music scene in Dijon?
It’s not a big scene for stoner/doom or heavy sounds, not much bands or public compared with punk scene for exemple.

Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
We are organizing a tour for the end of 2025, so we are looking for places to play!

What are your plans for the future as a band?
We are looking for labels to help us to press the vinyl version of our album. So our plans are to make as gigs as possible, and continue to write and record music!

How can people best support your band?
The best way to support us is to listen to our music, everywhere and talk about it! It also possible to buy the album on Bandcamp, and tell us your opinion about our music.

Do you have any message for your listeners?
Thanks so much for all those who listened, shared and liked the album. It mean a lot for us because »A Hundred Times« had great reviews and comments, and that motivate us to continue to make and play our music. Stay tuned, the follow up is coming!!!
