Embertears is a musical project of Tamas (Tom) Geza Albert (Faded Remembrance) started in 2021 December. The genre is sludge/progressive/stoner metal with many other influences. The aim is creating concept albums to concentrate on particular themes and work out their entire story via the lyrics and the music.

The music reflects of the vibes of sludge, progressive, stoner metal from the 90’s and the first decade of 2000’s, bands like: Dream Theater, Baroness, Fates Warning, Mastodon, Red Fang, Melvins, King Crimson and many others…

Embertears’ main goal to create concept albums to work out whole stories entirely. The main theme of the first album »The Flood« – released in April 2022 – is The Flood from The Bible. The next EP »Blue Chapter« released in 2023 focused on the Book Of Revelation as main theme from The Bible as well as the second album »Red Chapter« released in November 2024.

The tempo is genre specific from slow to medium speed but with also many fast parts with several tempo changes. The music also uses lot of different time signatures from the generic 4/4 and 3/4 to 6/4, 5/4 and others. The guitar style contains heavy parts but also lyrical cleans and many technically advanced parts as well.
