US bubblegum-doom trio Fox Medicine shares summery kitty lust on new single »Marla Singer«

Portland, Oregon based bubblegum-doom trio Fox Medicine has released their new single »Marla Singer« digitally on July 10th, 2025 during their West Coast tour!

Bandleader Neezy Dynamite had this to share about the new track:

“I wrote »Marla Singer« last summer after my main kitty cat Piffy got a girlfriend. This gorgeous mystery cat would show up in our yard and wait for Piffy to come out and they would run off together. After a while things got crazy and Piffy was beating up all the other neighborhood cats on the daily. We didn’t know the girlfriend’s name so we named her Marla, as a reference to Fight Club. Fun fact, author Chuck Palahniuk lives in Portland also!

We are in the middle of recording our album, but due to touring so frequently it’s taking longer than expected. For this reason we want to drop a few singles here and there. I think Marla Singer is such a cute summer vibe.”

Fox Medicine is a rock’n’roll band making abstract boutique art noise doused in 70’s and 90’s couture. Their self-styled genre is “bubblegum doom” and they rule their own universe.

Based on the west coast and centered around the I-5, the band is led by chanteuse Neezy Dynamite with her low tuned guitars and sugary vocals, merged with thick bass lines by Miss Apple Juice and the beastly thunder beats of Vanny Keeps on drums.

Specializing in soothing sounds for heavy hearts, Fox Medicine whips their audience in a frenzy and takes them on a roller coaster ride of raw rock’n’roll and candy flavored doom.
