Doomed Confessionary: Emy Adzmi (Targun)

Targun is a doom/stoner/sludge metal trio from Lumut, Perak in Malaysia that blends the stoner doom genre with elements of Nusantara culture. Formed in 2018, the band consists of Emy Adzmi (guitar, vocals), Nikman Farhan (bass) and Haziq Hamsah (drums).
That same year, they released a demo featuring two songs. In 2020, they began recording their debut album. However, the process was disrupted midway by the Covid-19 pandemic. Work resumed in 2023, and the album was finally completed in 2024.
Targun have finally released their debut album »Tazzaboür« on May 24th, 2025. Available now on cassette through MawArt Records and Doomshire Tapes.
