French blackened sludge metal band Verdun signs with Transcending Obscurity Records; new single »Silent Witness« out now!

Montpellier, France based blackened sludge metal band Verdun has signed with Transcending Obscurity Records.

The label boss Kunal Choksi says: “While I’m already a fan of this kind of blackened sludge music, Verdun manage to give it a dissonant edge while keeping it really heavy. It’s not devoid of the emotional nuances either. Coming after a seven-year gap, their new full-length album, »Abyssal Womb« is an accomplished work of art, superbly thought out and executed, setting new standards.
