Krypta’s sophomore album »Unen oma« out in April 2026!

The Finnish occult rock torchbearer Krypta returns with a new album »Unen oma«, out on April 10th, 2026 via Svart Records. Combining catchy hooks and melodic distorted guitars, Krypta’s poetic and melancholic lyrics stem from the mysticism, horror, and romance of the mind. In Krypta’s songs, the human mind is like a valley where nothing is what it seems – one’s own deluded thoughts lead to paths that one never knew they would end up walking. In Krypta’s world, the dimensions of time and space are one, and this is reflected in the lyrics’ contemplative nature. Despite their melancholy, however, the lyrics always contain a glimmer of hope.

Thematically, the lyrics on the upcoming album »Unen oma« explore the interface between lies and truth, the many dimensions of dreams, and the end of the world, without forgetting comfort and mercy.

Krypta’s new single »Oi, Pandora!« takes the listener on a mythological journey to the heart of humanity. The song is the third single from the album to be released in April. »Oi, Pandora!« is a bold, atmospheric Finnish rock ballad that is a comforting song for Pandora, who released the plagues of the world.

“Curiosity is an essential part of humanity. The plagues imposed as punishment have ultimately perhaps been the salvation of us humans as well,” says the band’s songwriter, singer and guitarist Henri Seger.

Krypta came to public attention with their debut album »Outo laakso«, released in late 2023. The band, which combines occult and Finnish rock in a unique way, has since toured Finnish venues and festivals extensively, been nominated for the Indie Awards as Newcomer of the Year, and released a mini-album called »Lasipalatsi«.

Svart Records will release Krypta’s new album »Unen oma« on April 10, 2026 and it is available for pre-order from the label’s online store and a limited edition of 100 blue and yellow marbled vinyl is also available. The album release will be followed by an extensive Finnish tour, tickets for which are on sale now!
