Taraban is an experienced proto-metal trio based out of Krakow, Poland. The band delivers a straightforward, melodic and highly catchy brand of hard and heavy rock, masterfully bridging the gap between the mainstream and underground. Taraban’s new mini-album »Oath« will be released on March 20th, 2025.

The mighty trio’s fusion of biker metal and gothic warlord imagery conveys a feeling of self-empowerment, freedom, and fierce determination. This unique aesthetic seamlessly blends rugged, rebellious energy with an air of commanding strength and mystique, inspiring a sense of loyalty and allegiance among their followers. Together, they are united in a shared spirit of confidence, unity, and the belief that anything is possible. This is the Oath.

Taraban are Daniel Suder (vocals, bass), Daniel Kesler (guitar) and Kris Gonda (drums, synth).

Can you say a few words about your band?
We are a sect, a movement rather than a band. We are the Order of the Agency, Tenure, and Harvest, a church of consecutive completion. We are doomed to follow through with correcting the imbalance between our imagination and the manifestation, the possession.

What was the biggest challenge for the band?
To make metal dangerous again.

What can you be most proud of so far?
We’re proud we didn’t lay our weapons down. The fight continues forever, the enemy is within. There is no ultimate victory – only glory in not stopping and mysticism in shedding expectations.

What was your biggest regret?
Allowing ourselves to pause.

What was the best concert/tour so far and why?
One of the best shows ever played by Taraban was the LP release show in 2019. It was a perfect night to remember. Another great victory was the Me & That Man tour in 2022, where we proved ourselves road-worthy.

What was the biggest surprise on the music scene for you?
How difficult it is to leave it.

What is currently in your heavy musical rotation?
Dool, Tribulation, Marylin Manson, Deadchant, Ghost, Gatecreeper, Unto Others, All Them Witches, The Darkness, Blood Incantation.

What was the best advice you’ve ever been given as a musician?
Change the snare springs string for a fabric stripe.

What are your guilty pleasures?
Bass guitar.

Can you say something more about current music scene in Krakow?
It’s gasping for air. Local acts are fighting hard to get on the nationwide rotation. Many bands progressed significantly yet the Krakow scene is still sidetracked with only a handful of names doing well (Mgła, Totenmesse, OWG, Moonstone, Terrordome, Ragehammer, Medico Peste, Acidsitter, WAVS).

Where can we see you live this year (concerts/tours)?
At the best festival in Poland. The announcement is coming soon.

What are your plans for the future as a band?
We will release the »Oath« mini-album on March 20th, while simultaneously remodeling our live-show competence. We will expand the live squad and prepare the biggest live production in the history of this band, then record a live album and release it in the second part of 2025. We are working on new songs and want to record an LP at the beginning of 2026 and release it promptly. We want to find a reliable booking agent who helps us grow our fanbase all over Europe throughout 2026-2027 while promoting the LP and supporting some bigger fish.

How can people best support your band?
Wait for the merch line to arrive – first, we drop t-shirts and patches, and at the end of March the 180g vinyl gatefold EP will drop and I want the warehouse cleared in no time, so we make a second pressing to get stocked up for touring. Throw your money at the underdog!

Do you have any message for your listeners?
Do your thing – whatever it is, we will provide you with a soundtrack for your success story. Stay cool and do your part!
