Frayle premiere a music video for the new single »Burn« taken from their debut full-length album, »1692«

Cleveland, Ohio based doom metal outfit Frayle premiere a music video for the new single »Burn« taken from their debut full-length album, »1692«, out on February 14, 2020 via Aqualamb Records (US) and Lay Bare Recordings (EU).

Frayle draw their inspiration from bands like Sleep, Portishead, Beastwars, Blonde Redhead, Kyuss, Massive Attack, Down, Chelsea Wolfe and many more. They exists at the intersection of doom and dream pop and makes music for the night sky. In addition to vocalist Gwyn Strang and guitarist Sean Bilovecky, Frayle features drummer Pat Ginley, bassist Eric Mzik and guitarist Ellliot Rosen.

“Musically, »Burn«, contains one of the most “delicate” verses we have ever done,” Strang says. “This verse stands in stark contrast to the song’s chorus which has thick, downtuned guitars screaming with feedback. We wanted to highlight the song’s final chorus by dropping the music out right before it hits, leaving just [vocals] and a phased-out guitar. The lyrics, ‘we all burn, blistered and weak’ are about how we all get hurt many times in our lives. We all ‘burn’ at one time or another. But if we choose to, we can all grow and become stronger from these types of trying times. Being able to rise up from adversity seems more relevant now than ever.”

Frayle also stream a mini-documentary on the making of »1692«. Sean and Gwyn discuss the songwriting and production process of their debut full-length release, out now on Aqualamb Records (US) and Lay Bare Recordings (EU).
