London, UK based progressive sludge/doom metal outfit Obiat share a lyric video for the new single »Acid Wake« taken from their upcoming album, »Indian Ocean«, to be released later this year. Video animation done by Daniele Arcuri, band logo by Julia Harris.

Recorded throughout 2020-2021 in UK and Australia.
Mixed and mastered by Chris Fielding at Foel Studio in Wales.

The band comments: “We managed to record our 4th album. First in 12 years. With members and guests spread across the UK, Australia, Norway, Poland and Sweden. »Acid Wake« features our friend Arek Kasprzak on bamboo flutes.
Animations by Daniele Arcuri from Italy. Alex Nervo on bass, Neil Dawson on drums, Raf Al on guitar and Sean Cooper vocals and lyrics.”

Obiat’s music covers a diverse and unpredictable swath of sounds ranging from stoner/doom metal to artsy prog, to psychedelia and post-rock. The third album »Eye Tri Pi« (Chris Fielding, Billy Anderson) released on America’s Small Stone Records in 2009. 4th album »Indian Ocean« scheduled for release in 2021.
